Frequently asked questions
What is a safe circle?
A safe circle is a radius you draw around yourself — say 20 m at a festival, 50 m on a beach, 100 m at a theme park. The circle moves with you, so "close" always means close to you, not a fixed spot on a map. If a child genuinely leaves the circle, SafeBubble alerts you.
How do I add a child or tracker?
You have two options. Pair a GPS tracker by entering the ID printed on the back, or turn a spare iPhone into a tracker by sharing a single invite link. You can add as many children as you like — they all share the same safe circle.
How do I turn a phone into a tracker?
From the app, create a child invite and share the link over Messages, WhatsApp or any app. Opening the link on the other phone turns it into a child unit — no account and no setup required. The link can be used exactly once, then it's spent.
Why didn't I get an alert — or why did I get one when everything was fine?
SafeBubble's intelligent alert engine is designed to cut false alarms. Indoors, GPS can jump wildly, so a single bad reading won't trigger a siren. A genuine, sustained walk-away does. If you feel alerts are too sensitive or not sensitive enough, check your safe-circle radius and make sure the tracker has a clear view of the sky. Still not right? Email us.
Critical Alerts aren't breaking through silent mode.
SafeBubble uses Critical Alerts to break through silent mode and Focus for genuine breaches. Make sure you allowed Critical Alerts and Notifications when prompted. You can re-enable them in iPhone Settings → Notifications → SafeBubble. The Panic Button and SOS are never silenced.
How accurate is the location?
Accuracy depends on GPS signal. When signal is weak, SafeBubble honestly shows a halo of "could be anywhere in here" rather than pretending to a precision GPS can't deliver. For best results, keep the tracker outdoors with a clear view of the sky.
How do I navigate to my child?
Tap once for turn-by-turn driving directions that keep re-routing to your child as they move. Navigation is powered by Apple Maps on your device.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email privacy@safe-bubble.com and we'll delete your account and associated data. You can also remove individual devices from your circle at any time in the app. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Which devices does SafeBubble support?
SafeBubble runs on iPhone. It works with dedicated GPS trackers and with a spare iPhone acting as a child unit.
