Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 June 2026
SafeBubble exists to protect children, and that starts with protecting their data. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it's safeguarded, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language — no fine-print games.
The short version: we collect only what's needed to show your family on a live map and alert you when a child leaves your safe circle. We never sell your data, never show ads, and location data stays tied to your account.
Who we are
SafeBubble ("we", "us", "our") provides the SafeBubble app for iPhone and the related GPS-tracking service. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@safe-bubble.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your email address and authentication credentials, so you can sign in and we can secure your account.
- Children and trackers you add — a name or label you choose for each child, and the identifier of any GPS tracker you pair.
- Safe-circle settings — the vigilance radius and preferences you configure.
- Support messages — anything you send us when you ask for help.
Location data
- Your phone's location — used as the centre of your safe circle so that "close" means close to you. This is processed to calculate the distance to each child.
- Each child's location — GPS positions reported by a paired tracker or by an invited phone acting as a child unit, including timestamp, satellite count and fix quality used by our alert engine.
Information collected automatically
- Device & diagnostic data — device model, OS version and basic crash/diagnostic logs to keep the app reliable.
- Connection data — technical metadata needed to deliver live positions and push notifications.
How we use your data
- To show every child on a real-time live map.
- To run our intelligent alert engine, which weighs GPS fix validity, satellite count, plausible speed and relative motion to decide whether to stay quiet or sound a critical alarm.
- To send Critical Alerts and notifications when a child genuinely leaves your safe circle or presses the Panic Button.
- To provide turn-by-turn navigation to a child (handled by Apple Maps on your device).
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
- To respond to your support requests.
We rely on your consent (granted when you enable location and notifications) and on our legitimate interest in providing a safety service you've asked for. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Children's privacy
SafeBubble is a tool operated by a parent or guardian. Account holders are adults. A child's device, when invited, only shares its location with the inviting parent's circle — there is no account, no advertising identifier, and no in-app browsing on the child view. It is a map and nothing else: no settings, no alarms, no exits.
As the parent, you control which devices are in your circle and can remove any of them at any time. We collect a child's location solely to provide the safety features you've requested, and only for as long as the device remains in your circle.
How we share data
We do not sell your personal data, and we never share it for advertising. We share data only:
- Within your circle — a child's location is shown to you, the account holder.
- With service providers who host and operate the service on our behalf (for example cloud infrastructure and push-notification delivery), under contracts that limit them to processing data for us.
- On your device — navigation uses Apple Maps; map data is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
- When legally required — to comply with the law or protect the rights and safety of users.
Security
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
- Invited phones receive scoped, expiring credentials — never a shared password.
- A child invite link can be redeemed exactly once, then it's spent.
- Location data is tied to your account and access is restricted.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Location history is retained only as long as needed to provide the live map and alerts, and is deleted when you remove a device or close your account. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@safe-bubble.com and we'll respond promptly. You can also disable location and notification permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
International transfers
We operate from Switzerland and may process data on servers in the European Union and other regions. Where data crosses borders, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
